'AMERICAN HARDCORE' by Paul Rachman
Just finished watching this and i think everyone NEEEEDS! to watch it
this film encapsulates the birth and evolution of hardcore in the US from the 70's through to the mid-80's. Shows the life around the scenes at the time and which bands influenced who and how the whole movement came together. seriously inspirational. american hardcore even touches on some of the things that were negative in the hardcore scene and evenually shows the knock-on effects of these actions. think some heads in the skate industry need to watch this too, same shit applies i think.

for so long i wondered why i didnt know the meaning of this word but it seemed to fit hipsters so well.....and now i know lol
I think 'assumption' should be the key word, so really and truly if your one of these ppl that begs all this 'industry fame' but know they havent lifted a finger (sucking dick/licking arse don't count) then i'm afraid...........

MF Social Club Presents "Timeless Suite for Ma Dukes" & "Secondhand Sureshots" Exclusive UK Screening
Put Me On It (putmeonit.blogspot.com) are starting a new event called the M.F. Social Club - a new platform for independent, specialist and archived music films to be shown in venues which normally host live music events & club nights. The aim is to take music films outside of the traditional passive cinema experience and straight to an audience of music lovers.
The first event will be an exclusive LDN screening of Secondhand Sureshots (Dublab/ Stones Throw) and Timeless - Suite for Ma Dukes (Mochilla)
One third of the Timeless documentaries, Suite for Ma Dukes sees the music of James 'Dilla' Yancey reworked by Miguel Atwood-Ferguson for a 60 piece live orchestra. Guests include Maureen 'Ma Dukes' Yancey, Bilal, Dwele, Amp Fiddler, Illa J, Shafiq Husayn, Talib Kweli, Karriem Riggins & more.
