rucktion records.

London's premier DIY hardcore label, RUCKTION RECORDS' origins date back to the UKHC scene of the late 1990s. Originally a project of Pierre from KNUCKLEDUST, the first release under the RUCKTION banner was an MCD by now defunct Manchester youth crew band AREA EFFECT. The label's rebirth was to come in 2001, the result of a collaboration with BLACK UP RECORDS, who released KNUCKLEDUST'S debut vinyl outing, a split with the aforementioned AREA EFFECT. The first release by the rejuvenated RUCKTION was to be 'Urban Legends', the debut MCD by London's NINE BAR. The label has been gathering pace ever since, demonstrating an obvious ear for talent, and never shying away from releasing bands that other labels would deem too off-the-wall or original. Rather than chasing the current big thing or hoping to capitalise on the hard work of others, RUCKTION has always collaborated with bands based on their individual merit, rather than a need for them to conform to a particular style. Those responsible for the label remember a time before hardcore was split up into individual scenes, and before it was so easily accessible and taken for granted. RUCKTION continues to go from strength to strength, and can now boast several international acts, as well as a host of younger bands destined to establish themselves alongside the labels heavy hitters. RUCKTION also hosts a monthly night in the heart of London's West End, at the 12 Bar Club on the world famous musical location that is Denmark Street. On the first Saturday of every month you can catch RUCKTION bands playing alongside Hardcore, Metal and Punk bands from the UK and beyond.

pretty much copied and pasted that all from there myspace blog but i really felt to give this label a mention, any diy label which is still going strong and keeping to its roots is a shout out espically in todays hardcore scene, rucktion still seem to be more respected then known amongst most kids who are into the hardcorepunk scene, anything that has distored riffs and parts of songs with unessacary feedback seems to be the only shit that people listen to right now which sucks, so i felt the need to shout out a good diy label which boast some real good bands that came before alot of this "liked, cool stuff of late",

but if your from london and are into the hardcore scene why not listen to londons o.g hardcore bands and the one of the uk premire diy hardcore labels, plus if you like that more heavier new york, east coast more thrashy hardcore you will love this label.
